L’instancabile Willie Nelson pubblicherà il 3 marzo uno dei suoi usuali dischi omaggio agli amati cantautori: se in passato ha reso onore a musicisti quali Kris Kristofferson, George Gershwin, Ray Price o Cindy Walker, stavolta è il turno di Harlen Howard, membro sia della Country Music Hall of Fame che della Songwriters Hall of Fame, autore di diverse hit country e di pezzi che sono riusciti scollinare nelle classifiche pop e R&B.
Tra i suoi pezzi più noti ci sono Busted (Ray Charles), I’ve Got A Tiger By The Tail (Buck Owens), The Streets Of Baltimore (Bobby Bare), oltre che ovviamente la I Don’t Know A Thing About Love che dà il titolo all’album di Nelson (un brano in origine cantato da Conway Twitty).
Il disco è prodotto dal collaboratore di lunga data Buddy Cannon e vede all’opera la creme dei musicisti di Nashville: con Willie Nelson (voce, Trigger) ci sono infatti Larry Paxton (basso, tic tac bass), Lonnie Wilson (batteria), Bobby Terry (chitarre acustiche ed elettriche), James Mitchell (chitarra elettrica), Mike Johnson (steel guitar), Mickey Raphael (armonica), Jim “Moose” Brown (piano, synth, B3 organ, Wurlitzer), Wyatt Beard (background vocals) e Melonie Cannon (background vocals).
