Il 20 Novembre viene pubblicato, via Universal, una nuova versione del classico dei Beach Boys, Party!. Inciso nel Novembre 1965, Party! è un disco unico nella discografia della band Californiana. Si tratta di un disco di covers, registrate dal vivo in studio dalla band, assieme ad amici e famigliari. Un disco molto familiare che il pubblico ha però amato moltissimo, al punto che l’album è entrato nei top dieci di Billboard e ha generato un singolo fantastico, Barbara Ann, che è arrivato al numero 2 delle classifiche Usa del periodo.
Il 20 di questo mese la Universal pubblica un splendida versione rimasterizzata, su 2 CD, che, alle 12 canzoni originarie ne aggiunge ben 69. Cioè tutte le canzoni e anche i brevi dialoghi tra un brano e l’altro, registrate durante le session di Party!.
