Joe Bonamassa pubblicherà il 21 settembre 2018 Redemption, tredicesimo solo album in studio e il suo terzo composto unicamente da materiale originale. Il disco uscirà in Europa per Provogue/Mascot Label Group, mentre in Nord America verrà pubblicato da J&R Adventures.
Registrato in varie location – Nashville, TN; Las Vegas, NV; Miami, FL; ma anche Sidney in Australia – Redemption vede Bonamassa avvalersi nuovamente della produzione di Kevin Shirley e del contributo di personaggi quali Tom Hambridge, James House, Gary Nicholson, Richard Page e Dion Dimucci.
La band includerà: Anton Fig alla batteria, Michael Rhodes al basso, Reese Wynans alle tastiere, gli horn players Lee Thornburg e Paulie Cerra, il vocalist Gary Pinto, le background singers Mahalia Barnes, Jade McRae, Juanita Tippins e i chitarristi Kenny Greenberg e Doug Lancio.
A proposito dell’album, Shirley ha detto: Visto dalla prospettiva di un produttore, questo è il disco più coraggioso e diverso Joe abbia mai fatto.
